Brave Lizard is a small, deliberate outfit. Our core team is NRA-certified instructors and Chief Range Safety Officers drawn from military, law enforcement, and serious civilian shooters, running classes capped at 12, with instructor ratios the big schools can't touch. The mission: exceptional, safe, and genuinely fun training for everyone from first-timers to teams. Come get some ballistic therapy.

Before you roll out.
Do I need prior firearms experience?
No. The curriculum starts at zero. Instructors meet you at your level, and small classes make individual coaching the default. Ages 12 and up can take most courses, so families train together.
Can I just walk in and shoot?
No. Everything runs on reservations. That's how classes stay capped at 12 with instructor ratios the big schools can't touch. The range runs Thursday–Monday, 8am–5pm.
What should I bring?
Closed-toe shoes, layered clothing, plenty of water, eye and ear protection, sunscreen, and a valid ID. The FOB is remote with no stores nearby, so pack lunch for full-day courses. Course-specific gear is listed when you book.
Is it worth the drive?
35 minutes from Cedar City, 75 from St. George, 2 hours from Vegas, and students routinely drive further. RV sites run $65/night and tent camping $20, so a course becomes a stay-and-train weekend.
I'm brand new. Will I feel out of place?
That barrier is the one we built this place to remove. Dedicated women's courses, non-judgmental instruction, and a progression path from first shot to real capability.
